For fans of local cuisine, the sight and smell of sizzling, aromatic food served in piping hot clay pots will most certainly stir up feelings of nostalgia along with an insatiable appetite. From 20 June to 31 July 2017, gourmands can look forward to satisfying their taste buds as Kopi Tiam brings back an array of local claypot delights – six claypot specialties by Chef de Cuisine Lee Voon Siong that will evoke and make you fall in love again with the taste of days gone by.

Begin your feast with the Claypot Frog Legs, an exotic local delicacy highly regarded for its rich source of protein and nutritional benefits. Stir-fried with an aromatic mix of ginger and onions in oyster sauce, the meat follows a slow simmer in the pot to retain its succulent essences and invitingly tender texture.

Meat lovers will continue to relish in the Claypot Bitter Gourd Pork Ribs, Chef Lee’s skillful rendition of the classic tze char dish. Coated in a rich paste of fermented black beans, sink your teeth into the succulent, tender pork ribs packed full with flavour. Paired with wholesome bitter gourd slices for a refreshing balance, this dish will have you craving for more.

Another mouth-watering staple awaits with the classic Claypot Seafood Crispy Noodles, served with a crunchy nest of egg noodles adorned with fresh and plump scallops, prawns, sliced fish and vegetables. Ladled with steaming, velvety gravy – a key component of this noodle dish, the crispy noodles absorbs all the delicious flavours for a completely gratifying meal.
